We Are A Service Organization
The service projects that our Chapter
embraces are too numerous to list but we do have a few that are annual causes to
which we are committed. Our major focus throughout the year is the Children's
Miracle Network campaign. Our Chapter participates in numerous activities to
benefit the Children's Miracle Network. These activities include the
Children's Miracle Network Radio-A-Thon, Tele-A-Thon, and Softball Classic.
Every day our members serve their
communities in countless ways, through tutoring, volunteering, assisting with
youth sports programs, grade school activities, and their local churches. To
name only a FEW of the ways in which they donate their time is almost a
diservice yet they are committed to the causes which they support and we are
proud to have each member contribute to our efforts.
Having started a tradition of state
projects, the baton has been passed to our chapter at Troy University, Dothan
who have determined that each state chapter shall focus on collecting funds to
benefit The Children's Hospital of Birmingham. Alabama chapters have until the
2008 State Convention to organize their own efforts in order to present the
Children's Hospital Representative; Angie Sherrill, with all funds collected for
the effort.
