2:30 pm in the Harrison Room in Malone Hall.
Item Drive for FIND (Family Integrity Networking Demonstration) which is an in home therapy team. The Team goes into the children homes, schools, doctors offices, even court rooms, DHR, and Juvenile probation office if needed. They work with the whole family and everyone that surrounds the child for a least 12 weeks that have a serious emotional disturbance (such as, ADHD, Bipolar, Conduct Disorder, etc.). All of the children are in danger of being removed from the home put into mental health hospitals, foster care or detention centers
if they do not receive immediate intervention. Many of these children
have already been in mental health hospitals, foster care and detention
centers and are at risk of going back. They gave me a list of needed
items but said that if someone would like to get something that is not
on the list, that is fine as long as it is does not promote anything
negative such as toy guns or violent video games.
NEEDED ITEMS
Basket Balls
Footballs
gift cards to areas such as Pizza Kastle, Fun Zone, Adventure Land, McDonalds, Etc.
Dollar store items such as toy necklaces, toy bracelets, small Dinosaur toys, plush toys, dolls
bubbles
books to read
art sets (or just put together some color pencils, papers, etc.)
coloring books and crayons
Planners
journals
sticker books
bookbags
purses
movies (G, PG, PG 13, only please)
playing cards (cards, skip bo, uno)
board games
